Wraparound Care: We offer the following:-

Breakfast Club:
Runs from 8:00 to 8:40 a.m. daily.  Children are provided with a choice of cereal, toast, pancakes, fruit or juice at a cost of £1.50 per day.  The children are able to spend time with their friends before school in a safe and caring environment. This is taken by a school classroom assistant.

Healthy Break:
Woodburn Primary School has been a part of the Health Promoting School’s initiative since 2006.  We encourage children to have a healthy break each day.  A healthy break tuck shop is available where children can purchase fruit for 50p at break time.

The school canteen serves healthy lunches each day and the children are encouraged to drink water throughout the day.

After school Care – 2 O’Clock Club and 3 O’Clock Club:
We offer after school care from 2pm – 3pm and from 3pm – 4pm Monday – Thursday at a small charge of £2.00 per session attending.

School Bus Service:
Translink provide a school bus service in the morning and at 2.50pm Monday – Thursday and at 2pm on Fridays. There is a specific bus route which is available from the school office. Currently each bus journey costs 95p.

UNCRC Article 24:  ‘Every child has the right to the best possible health.  Governments must provide good quality health care, clean water, nutritious food and a clean environment so that children can stay healthy.’
