About Our School

Woodburn Primary school is located on the North-West edge of Carrickfergus, on the Upper Woodburn Road and junction with the Knockagh Road.  There are 7 classes – one class per year group.

We moved into a new school building in November 2019.  All classrooms have interactive whiteboards and a computer system which connects to the internet though the safety and security of the C2K network.

At Woodburn Primary school we have aspired to maintain a ‘family’ ethos whereby all children are known and cared for by all members of staff.  The teachers and classroom assistants are hardworking and dedicated in their delivery of the Northern Ireland Curriculum equipping the children with the knowledge and skills necessary for the development of their education and through respect, thoughtfulness and good manners supporting their personal and social development as community and global citizens.
