Breakfast Club:

Runs from 8:00 to 8:40 a.m. daily.  Children are provided with a choice of cereal, toast, pancakes, fruit or juice at a cost of £1.50 per day.  The children are able to spend time with their friends before school in a safe and caring environment.

Healthy Break:

Woodburn Primary School has been a part of the Health Promoting School’s initiative since 2006.  We encourage children to have a healthy break each day.  A healthy break tuck shop is available where children can purchase fruit for 50p at break time.

The school canteen serves healthy lunches each day and the children encouraged to drink water throughout the day.

UNCRC Article 24:  ‘Every child has the right to the best possible health.  Governments must provide good quality health care, clean water, nutritious food and a clean environment so that children can stay healthy.’
